About Sigil
Checking a degree should not take a phone call.
The problem
Forging a certificate takes minutes. Checking one takes days. Sharing one shows too much.
The idea
The issuer signs a record once. Anyone can check that signature, with no call to the issuer.
The rule
We never say verified without naming who vouched, how and when. No witness means not verified.
What we do not do
We never score or rank people. Software suggests. People and signatures decide.
What is real today
Sample organisations are made up. CESAC is real, and its certificate fingerprints are on file.
